The Moments
By Benita Odiete
The sadder the artist
The more beautiful the work
The more passionate the writer
The longer the hours spent pondering over the book
The more zealous the scientist
The more formulas students have to learn
During the most wracking episodes
The ones of pain, joy, anger, sadness
Do well to take hold of the pen
Write it all down
Take the brush and give the board a dash of paint
One it will forever remember
Though enthused by the technology of these days
Never forget the one that held generations together
The Pen and Paper
Let the Paper hold all your memories
Let the Pen write them all
Watch their romance
The rhythm their beat flows
Sometimes, the Pen hurting the Paper with a tear
And sometimes the Pen not willing to work with Paper and not writing
Like the Cat and the Rat;they both play
Sometimes creating the most beautiful dance; the handwriting.
