The Box of Things

By Ellitia Ra

in my box is the autumn breeze

of the wind rustling through the trees

raindrops pitter-pattering on a beautiful lake

an aurora gliding

across the shimmering night sky

in my box is the deep growl of a wolf

the loudest howl of a howler money

the cheerful song of a humming bird

in my box is the sweetness

of the first bite of chocolate, the fiery

taste of the chilliest chilli sauce

poisonous smoke blowing out from an

opened window whistling into your mouth

my boxy is shaped from arctice ice

the eighth shade of the rainbow

and the birthstones of october

with music flying everywhere

across and over.
